Alyce E. Atmore, 85, of Whiting, Iowa, died at her residence on December 9,1996.

She was born July 23, 1911, at Whiting, Iowa the daughter of Roy and Eunice (Taylor) Fegenbush. She
graduated from Whiting High School in 1929 and attended business school at Long Beach City College. On June 6, 1936, she married Richard
H. Atmore in Las Vegas, NV. The couple owned and operated meat markets in Ventura and Filmore,
CA, for 50 years. They moved to Whiting in 1979, and Mr. Atmore died April 21,1984 in Onawa.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Whiting.

Survivors include one son, Michael and his wife, Donna Atmore of Ventura, Ca. three grandsons and their wives, John and Sandy, James and Julie and Joel and Shannon; six great grandchildren; and three sisters, Frances Miller of Manchester, TN,
Dr. Edward and Maxine Hammer of San Clemete, CA. and Paul and Sally Poskevich of Sioux City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 13, 1996 at First Congregational Church, Whiting, Iowa, with Rev. Patricia G. Minnick officiating.

The Organ and Piano Duet was by Mrs. Don MacClure and Mrs. Robert Haack. The soloist, Mrs. Fred Gibson, sang the selections "I Believe" and "He".

Casket Bearers were John Atmore, James Atmore, Joel Atmore, Dana Kirby, Scott Richardson, and Tom Marr.

Interment was in Hite Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa,
Iowa.
