OBITUARY of Mrs. Adam H. MILLER - Mother of Mrs. A. M. Hyatt of Onawa, Iowa

Catherine ROTH, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jacob ROTH was born in Sax Minnigen Germany, born January 8, 1845.

At the age of 13 she was brought to the United States, the family locating in the state of Wisconsin at which she grew to womanhood.

At the age of 13 she was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church.

She was united in marriage to Adam H. MILLER in the year 1868.

Upon moving to Durham, Kansas in 1901, in the immediate vicinity of
which, they since made their home, there being no English Lutheran Church there
she became united with the M. E. Church of that place being a faithful member
until the time of her decease. Mrs. Miller passed from this life December 31, 1923 at the age of 78 years 11 months and 23 days, enriching those left with memory of a life spent in the service
for her family, friends, neighbors, church, country and God.

To Mr. and Mrs. Miller were born seven children, all of whom, with the exception of David, who was taken as an infant, are living. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband Adam H. Miller of Durham, four sons; Jacob of Madelia, Minnesota; Edward Miller of Wayne, Nebraska;
Frederick Miller of Oakley, Idaho; Harry Miller of Belvedere, Kansas; two
daughters, Mrs. A. M. Hyatt of Onawa, Iowa; Mrs. Chris Weible of Durham, Kansas.
Also 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from M.E. Church of Durham, Kansas conducted by Rev. M. W. Parker of Tampa, Kansas. Interment Durham Cemetery.
