Clarence Henry Lorenzen, 74, died Thursday, August 24, 1995, at Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 26, 1995, at Walter-Armstrong Chapel in Anthon with Pastor John Scherb officiating. Military graveside honors were conducted by American Legion, Henry McKenna Post #651, Oto, Iowa. Interment was in Good Hope Cemetery, Correctionville.

Clarence Henry Lorenzen was born November 1, 1920, at Sloan, Iowa, the son of Arnold and Alice (Martin) Lorenzen. He lived in the Castana, Iowa, area until moving to Wichita, Kansas, where he worked at Beechcraft Aviation Company until entering the Army Air Corps in 1942. He served three years during World War II as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic in the Pacific theater.

After leaving the service he returned to Rodney, Iowa, where he married Marjorie Wilson June 21, 1946, at Onawa. He farmed in the Smithland and Oto areas for 35 years. In 1980 they moved to Oto.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Beverly) Waugh of Washta and Sharon Ruring of Cleghorn, four sons, Ronald and Patricia Lorenzen of Sioux City, Raymond and Sue Lorenzen of Holstein, Keith and Shellie Lorenzen of Sioux City, and Brian and Janelle Lorenzen of Cushing, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, one sister, Lena Lorenzen of Seattle, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Craig Ruring and a grandson, David Waugh.
