Funeral services were held Thursday, December 27, 1973 for Daryl C. Grover, 85, who passed away December 25, 1973 in the Osage Nursing Home from complications of old age. The services were held at 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Riceville, with Rev. Charles Kirtley officiating.

Mr. Grover was born October 7, 1888 in Chatfield, Minnesota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Grover.

He is survived by his wife, Winifred, Riceville; two sons, Paul, Lime Springs and Franklin, Elma; a brother Lloyd Grover, Harmony, Minnesota and a sister, Mrs. Elmer Peters of Waterloo; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mrs. Lynn Markham and a brother, Rex Grover.

Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville with the Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
