DOUBLE FUNERAL
FOR OSAGE COUPLE
SATURDAY 2 P.M.

Frank Evans Died Thursday
and Wife Friday, After
Illness of a Week

A double funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Champion Funeral Home for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Evans, who died within twenty-seven hours last Thursday and Friday.

Though both had been in poor health for a long time, inveigher was stricken with fatal illness until about a week before death claimed them both. Mrs Evans died from a blood clot; Mrs. Evans from uremic poisoning.

James Francis Evans

James Francis Evans, son of Matthew and Retta Evans, was born at Spirit Lake, Iowa, November 17, 1874. When he was 10 years old the family moved to Mitchell County. He young manhood was spent in Minnesota, the Dakotas and Iowa.

For many years he was employed by the electric light company in Osage, rising to a position of responsibility when the company was owned by the Ferris interests. Ill health obliged him to give up his work about sixteen years ago.

In addition to the children and grandchildren named in the life sketch of his wife above, he is survived by brothers and sisters: John, Arthur and Matt Evans; Jim and George Davis; Lizzie E. Wilkins and Jessie Boe.
