Aged Stacyville Man
Will Be Buried After
Rites on Wednesday

Stacyville, Iowa - Peter Koenigs 78, died Sunday at Mitchell, Kansas, after attending the funeral of his brother-in-law there and remaining for a visit.

He was a farmer north of Meyer and leaves his wife and children. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart church at Meyer, on Wednesday.

Note: His wife, contrary to what this article says, was not a survivor. She died in 1928.

Peter C. Koenigs was born March 12, 1859 in Germany, the son of John Koenigs and Luzia (Annen) Koenigs. He married Anna Maria Kloeckner.
