MRS. P. GROTH

Mrs. Anne Groth passed peacefully out of time into eternity Tuesday evening, July 23, 1912, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Goplerud, with whom she stayed her last few weeks. She had been very feeble for some time and needed constant care. This was given her in her home in St. Ansgar and Osage by her daughter.

Mrs. P. Groth, nee Anne Opsterdal, was born at Ulvesaker, Sogn, Norway, July 1, 1835 where she was baptized and confirmed. Here she was united in marriage to P. Groth in 1859. This union has been blessed with eight children. All survive her except one daughter, Anna, who died ten years ago.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, P. Groth, Mrs. P. Hildebrand, Lyle, Minn., Espen P. and Jim Groth and Mrs. Kelly, Enderline, N. Dak. Mrs. Harold Goplerud, Osage, Ia, and Peter Groth, Garry, Minn.

She has with her husband resided in Mitchell County, Ia., 46 yrs. They came here from Norway in 1866. The greater part of this time they lived on a farm east of Mona. The last few years they lived at St. Ansgar. These aged people have had 53 years of happy married life.

The funeral was held Friday, July 26th. A short service was held at the home of H. C. Goplerud after which the remains were brot to St. Ansgar. Here the services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. M. E. Waldeland, assisted by Rev. J.A. Urnes of Osage. She was laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar.
