Oscar Hanson, a young man living near Carpenter, Iowa, was brought to Austin Saturday morning by his father, Martin Hanson and was taken to St. Olaf hospital to be treated for appendicitis. He was examined and it was found that the patient was too weak to endure the operation and at 8:30 the same evening he passed away after an illness of only three weeks.
He was 21 years of age and leaves a father, mother, four sisters and two brothers to mourn his departure.
He was taken to his home where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m.Tuesday afternoon.
