Joan Doris Brandau, age 90, of Osage, died Monday, July 16, 2018, at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.

Cremation has taken place.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Eden Presbyterian Church, 3105 Glass Avenue, rural Rudd, with Pastor Cathy Belles officiating. Inurnment will be in Eden Presbyterian Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Joan was born March 8, 1928, in Osage, the daughter of Fred and Zaidee (Hocum) Bascombe. She attended school in Osage. On February 24, 1946, Joan was united in marriage to George Brandau. Joan was a member of Eden Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed baking, gardening, canning and quilting. Joan loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Joan is survived by her children: Judy Maas of Osage, Steven (Lindsy) Brandau of Warner Robins, Georgia, Russell Brandau of Osage, Craig (Colette) Brandau of Mason City, Ken (Linda) Brandau of Rudd, Al (Jacque) Brandau of Floyd, and David Brandau of Sun City, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Susie Brandau of Osage; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George in 1993; son, Bruce; grandson, Charles; granddaughter, Valerie; infant great-granddaughter; two daughters-in-law, Julie Brandau and Jean Brandau; three sisters and four brothers.
