FUNERAL NOTICE--

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Audrey E. Nagel, 90, of St. Ansgar, died on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 17, at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, with Rev. Dr. Byron Northwick officiating.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.

Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home.

Audrey was born on October 3, 1926, in Plainview, Minnesota, to John F. and Amalia (Rieuter) Zabel. She worked as a nurses aid at nursing homes most of her life in Osage, Manly and St. Ansgar.

She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Nagel; stepson, Howard Glassel and stepdaughter, Mavis Neis; four sisters and two brothers.

Audrey is survived by daughters: Margie Nagel of Clear Lake, Iowa and Marcia Nagel of Grafton, Iowa; stepdaughter, Marcella Musel of Wykoff, Minnesota; sons, Marlin Nagel of Mason City, Iowa and Marvin Nagel of St. Ansgar; stepson Roger Glassel of Leighton, Iowa; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
