Gloria K. Mueller, age 71, of Osage, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Burial will be at Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Stacyville. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville.
Gloria was born October 30, 1944 in Northwood, Iowa, to Christ and Lillian Olson. She graduated from the Glenville High School in Glenville, Minnesota and received her RN degree from the Methodist Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota. Gloria was married to Lavern Mueller on September 4, 1965, in Rochester, Minnesota. They lived on the farm in the Stacyville area until they moved to Osage in 1994.
Gloria worked as a nurse for 51 years in the Osage area. She was Lavern’s partner in farming, dancing, golf, and traveling. Gloria was active in her Catholic faith. She loved spending time with her family and following her two grandsons’ activities. Gloria enjoyed singing, family, and friends. She was known for her warm welcoming smile.
Gloria is survived by her husband Lavern Mueller of Osage; her children, Kris Mueller of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Jeff (Tammi) Mueller of Riceville and their sons Gabe and Gavin, and Phil (Wanda) Mueller of Clarksville; sister, Leann (Jim) Iseminger of Blair, Nebraska; five brothers, Orren (Alice) Olson of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Gaylord (Shirley) Olson of Emmons, Minnesota, Truman (Mary Lou) Olson of Brownsdale, Minnesota, Elard (Florence) Olson of Glenville, Minnesota, and Ron (Mary) Olson of Stewartville, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Elizabeth, Curtis, and Robert Olson.
