BORN IN RICEVILLE
CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Wanelda Yvonne Blanchard, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.
She was born July 16, 1934, in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Emma Christensen Smith. She married Darold Blanchard, and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Blanchard was employed by Waterloo Industries as a press and shear operator.
Survived by four daughters: Vickie Anderson of Garland, Texas, and Judy Blanchard, Monica (Ricky) Siebrands and Brenda (David) Santee, all of Cedar Falls; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers; four sisters; and a special friend, Don Nelson of Kellogg.
Preceded in death by a sister; and a grandchild.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
