Gordon Cecil Morse

LIMESTONE, TENNESSEE - Gordon Cecil Morse, 90, passed away November 27, 2013, at his home on Crockett Timbers Road in Limestone, Tennessee.

Gordon was an only child born to Cecil David Morse and Delia Erion Morse. His parents and Gordon lived with his grandparents until the age of 18 when he joined the U.S. Army.

Gordon was discharged in 1945 after serving on the eastern front during the war. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW in Tennessee.

Gordon is survived by nine cousins.

Gordon was preceded in death by a son, Gordon David Morse of Davenport; his parents Cecil David Morse of Ottumwa and his mother Delia Erion Morse of Osage; an uncle, David Cecil Morse of St. Paul, Minn.; two aunts, Josephine Curtis of Ottumwa and Corrine Grinstead of Osage; and his grandparents Will T. Morse and Pearly Mae Morse of Osage.
