CLIFTON GALT DIED
AT NURSING HOME
Clifton B. Galt, 83, died at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home in Stacyville on Sunday, October 31, 1971.
Mr. Galt was born at Otranto, Mitchell county, Iowa, on June 29, 1888, the son of John I. and Jessie Sturtevant Galt. He was a graduate of the Southern Minnesota Normal College, Austin, and was employed as an accountant; also as a court reporter at Marshall, Minnesota.
In more recent years he lived with his sister, Mrs. Hazel Mackin at Stacyville and at the St. Ansgar and Stacyville Nursing Homes.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hazel Mackin of Stacyville, one niece and two nephews. His parents and a sister, Irene Anderson, preceded him in death.
Mr. Galt willed his body to the University of Iowa School of Medicine, for research.
