Alvin Frederick William Schroeder was born December 22, 1894 at Newburg, Mitchell, Iowa to William Frederick Schroeder and Maria Ulreka Antonia Bartz, the third of their five children.

Found in the 1905 - 1920 censuses living at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1910: William F Schroeder 48, Antonia Schroeder 31, Oscar Schroeder 19, Mabel Schroeder 17, Alvin Schroeder 15, Elenora Schroeder 12, Laura Schroeder 10.
1915: Alvin Schroeder age 20.
1920: William F Schroede 58, Antonie Schroeder 52, Alvin Schroeder 25, Elenor Schroeder 21.

Alvin married Lillian Josephine Winer on May 22, 1921 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had 3 children: Mildred, Rudolph and Virgil. Alvin was a farmer.

Found in the 1940 census living on a farm at Liberty, Mitchell, Iowa: Alvin F Schroeder 45, Lillian J Schroeder 40, Mildred L Schroeder 17, Rudolph E Schroeder 14, Virgil R Schroeder 13.

Alvin F W Schroeder died November 28, 1959 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Liberty Cemetery, Little Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
