FRANCIS MARR, 56,
DIED IN SHEBOYGAN

Funeral services were held in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, for a former Osage and New Haven man,

Francis Marr, 56, who died last Wednesday night at a Sheboygan hospital. Mr. Marr had been ill with a malignancy for the past two years, and had also been hospitalized in Rochester during his illness. Burial was in Sheboygan.

Francis Marr was born on December 3, 1914, at New Haven, Iowa, the son of William and Anna Cashman Marr. He attended St. Mary's Academcy in New Haven and was graduated from high school there. During World War II he served with the Merchant Marines.

Catherine Theis and Francis Marr were married on December 27, 1947. They lived in Osage for a time and he and his brother, Urban Marr, founded the Marr Knitting mill in Osage. he had lived in Sheboygan for 22 years.

He was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine; six children: David and Phillip of Milwaukee; Kenneth at the

Military Academy, Annapolis, Maryland, Deborah, Tim and Pat, at home; two brothers, Vincent of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Urban of Cudahy, Wisconsin; four sisters: Mrs. Paul Meireck (Gertrude) of Orchard, Mrs. James Dunlay (Luella) of Postville, Mrs. Lloyd Fox (Grace) of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Vincent Miller (Mary) of Osage; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Jeanine; his parents and one brother, Joseph.

A cancer memorial fund has been started in memory of Mr. Marr.
