AGED WOMAN DIES AT RICEVILLE HOME

Riceville – Mrs. Minnie (Worple) Kapka, 93, died Friday at the home of Mrs. Emil Ring, where she had lived the last six years. Funeral services were Monday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with burial in Riceville Cemetery.
Born at Sun prairie, Wisconsin, her only survivor is a brother, William Worple, Elma.

Wilhelmina was the daughter of Charles Worple and Regina (Streich) Worple. She married Lewis Carl Kapka 1867-1932, the son of William Frederick Kapka and Henrietta (Ninneman) Kapka.

July 18, 1867 - March 17, 1961

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Wilhelmina** Kapka last monday afternoon, March 20, 1961, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. W. Schroeder, pastor.

Wilhelmina Kapka, daughter of the late Charles Worple and wife, Rosina, nee Streich, was born on July 18, 1867, at Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. There she was also baptized in the name of the Triune God.

In early childhood she moved with her parents to a farm east of Elma. There she was married to Mr. Louis Kapka on January 20, 1885. After their marriage, she and her husband lived on their farm some twelve miles south of Riceville. Her husband died on July 13, 1932, and thereafter, Mrs. Kapka made her home for 23 years with the Gordon Schreibers. The last five and a half years she was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Ring in Riceville, where she received the best of care and where she also depareted this life last Friday morning, March 17, 1961. She attained the age of 93 years, 7 months and 29 days.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by one brother, William of Elma and numerous other relatives and friends.

At the time of her death the departed was the oldest member of the local St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a charter and honorary member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Ladies Aid.

Interment was made in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery south of Riceville.
