AFFIDAVIT: Shrode

SHRODE COLE RITCHER AUSTIN RICHARDSON

AFFIDAVIT dated July _ 1940.

I, Rose A. Shrode, being first duly sworn, on oath depose and say that I am the widow of William A. Shrode (also known as William Shrode),
who was a son of Conrad Shrode and Barbara Shrode, the former of whom died on or about
July 5, 1913, and the latter of whom died on or about April 12, 1926, and both of whose estates were probated in Mitchell County, Iowa; that all the heirs in the Conrad Shrode estate listed on May 24, 1922, to-wit: Barbara Shrode, wife; Mrs. Ella Aspel; Mrs. May Reep; William Shrode; Eugene Shrode; Chas. Shrode; and children of Mrs. Libbie Cole, a deceased daughter; Mr. Carsa Cole, Mrs. Flora Ritcher, Mrs. Katherine Austin and Mrs. Ella Richardson, were on said date, to-wit, May 24, 1922, all of legal age. That said list of heirs is found in Fee Book F, page 161, records of Mitchell County, Iowa.
I do further say that my husband William Shrode, who died on or about September 29, 1931, whose estate was probated in Mitchell County, Iowa, died seized of an undivided one-seventh interest in the following described real estate which he inherited from his parents, Conrad Shrode and Barbara Shrode, and that he never conveyed the same before his death: The N 1/2 of the SW 1/4 and the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4, and the N 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, all in 9, 99, 15, Mitchell County, Iowa.
