LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT AND CODICIL.
Sarah E. Hovelson admitted to probate Sept. 15, 1930.
“I, Sarah E. Hovelson, being of full age and sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, that is to say:
Item 1. I direct that all my just debts be first paid, and subject thereof:
Item II. I give, devise and bequeath to each and every grandchild who shall be living at the time of my decease, the sum of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00). Should any grandchild die prior to my decease, such bequest shall lapse.
Item III. I give, devise and bequeath to the Ladies Aid of the First Congregational Church, of Osage, Iowa, the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), to be used in any manner they may see fit, for the assistance and aid of their work.
Item IV. All the rest, residue and remainder of my property, real, personal and mixed, wherever situated, I give, devise and bequeath to Blanche Hovelson, my daughter-in-law, Hattie E. Burnham, my daughter, Ralph H. Hovelson, my son, Leon E. Hovelson, my son, Mabel A. Boeck, my daughter, and Grace H. Clay, my daughter, share and share alike. Should any of the devisees named in this item die prior to my decease, it is my will that their share in my estate devised in this Item shall go to their legal heirs.
Item V. I hereby nominate and appoint my daughter, Hattie E. Burnham of Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa, to be the Executrix without bond or other security, for the faithful performance of her duties as such Executrix.

CODICIL TO LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF SARAH E. HOVELSON.
“ Know All Men By These Presents:
That I, Sarah E. Hovelson, of the county of Mitchell and State of Iowa, being of sound mind and memory, having heretofore, to-wit, under date of Oct. 8, 1923, made, published and declared my Last Will and Testament, in and by which I did nominate and appoint my daughter, Mattie E. Burnham of Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa, to-wit:
I hereby nominate and appoint my daughter, Mattie E. Burnham of Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa, and my son Leon E. Hovelson, of Sioux City, Iowa, to be the Executors of this my Last Will and Testament and Codicil, and direct that they shall serve as such Executors without bond or other security for the faithful performance of their duties as such Executors.
And lastly, it is my desire that this Codicil be annexed to and become a part of my said Last Will and Testament, the same in all respects as though the provisions hereof had been inserted therein in lieu of the original provisions therein specified.
