PEDERSON, HANSON

M. Pederson was born in Denmark, June 11, 1830, and was there reared. He learned the blacksmith trade in 1856, and in 1868 came to St. Ansgar, in Mitchell county, Iowa where he worked at his trade for three years. He then came to Otranto township, where he has since lived and worked at his trade. Mr. Pederson was married in Denmark, in 1860, to Johann Hanson, and three children were born to them— Lydia, born in 1862; Malina, born in 1864; and Anne Dortea, born in 1866. Mrs. Pederson died in 1866, and Mr. Pederson was again married, in 1867, to Anne M. Hanson, his present helpmate.
