J. F. Peshak, farmer, a resident of St. Ansgar since 1868, was born in Bohemia, May 10, 1835.
He emigrated to America on June 17, 1854. He immediately located at Watertown, Wisconsin, where he lived for seven years, and learned the machinist trade. He then moved to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, which he made his home until removing to Iowa.
He married Miss Madera in 1861. They have a family of four children - Albyn L., Silvyn J., Ray E. and A. May.
