Mr. J. W. Miller of Rawles township was visible on the streets of Glenwood, Friday.
Mr. R.J. Coles of York, Nebr. was visiting with Mr. E. Starbuck.
Mr. H. Miller of Wellington, Kans. is visiting at present with his brother, Mr. J.W. Miller.
Mrs. Catherine Agnew of Plattsmouth, is visiting with her friend, Miss Jo Daniel.
Mr. Robt. L. Kilpatrick left Monday for Des Moines where he will attend Highland Park College.
Mrs. J.B. Anthony left Tuesday for Athol, Kans. where she was called to visit an ailing sister.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Miles of Mt. Carroll, Ill. visited with W. E. Story.
Miss Blien, Miss Webergand and Mrs. Rowe of Omaha were the guests of Miss Charleton Wheeler last week.
Mesdames Harvey Young and Seth Dean returned Friday from a three week visit with relatives in Wisconsin.
Messrs. J. T. Barns,and Jac Sandiland, two of Emerson's prominent citizens, were attending to various businesses with the county Tuesday.
Mr. James Bone of Council Bluffs was in town to interview Tax Forreter Sturvant. He left a nice big check behind when he left for home.
Mr.John Fisk returned from Charles Mix County, So. Dakota where he had been summoned by the serious illness of his father. The latter was much better when John left for home.
LETTER LIST. Following is the list of letters remaining uncalled for at the Glenwood post office for the week of Feb. 5, 1909.
