They moved from Ohio in 1846, coming down the Ohio River, then up the Missouri River to Holt County, in 1851 removed to Mills County, Iowa. Located near where the East Liberty Church now stands.

Both William and Cynthia were faithful members of the East Liberty Church, joining with its first organization. William was a trustee of the Protestant Methodist Church at the time it was dedicated in 1875.

This plaque is in the church fellowship hall, My mother and I came to Malvern and Helen Parker took us to the church and cemetery, there was another plaque that has Daniel Lewis on it, but the picture was not good and you can not read the names.
