Terry Dean Tribolet was born January 21, 1960 in Maryville, Missouri the son of John Donald Tribolet and Clara Elizabeth (Johnson) Tribolet.

He graduated from Bedford High School with the Class of 1978. Terry then attended Iowa State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1982. He later attended Northwest Missouri State University where he received a Master’s Degree. Terry’s passion in life was helping kids through his role as a guidance counselor. He worked for the Clearfield and Wapello School Districts before accepting the position of high school guidance counselor for the Knoxville School District in 1993. Due to health concerns, Terry’s last term with the Knoxville School District was the 2009-2010 school year.

Although Terry’s main focus in life was helping children through his career, he also enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish and was a member of the Marion County Sportsman’s Club. He also enjoyed woodworking and landscaping around his home. Terry and some of his colleagues also painted many area houses during their summer break. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man, with great affection for his students and his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Terry passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at his home at the age of 50 years, 10 months and 16 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Tribolet and twin nephews, Donald and David Sparks.

Those left to honor his memory include his siblings: Joyce Sparks of Des Moines, Karen (Jim) Simpson of Maryville, Missouri, Larry (Nanci) Tribolet of Bedford; Richard (Jan) Tribolet of Story City; Robert (Georgie) Tribolet of Papillion, Nebraska, Linda Van Dyk of Carlisle, Donna Gregory of West Des Moines and Tim (Kimberly) Tribolet of Peculiar, Missouri and many nieces, nephews and friends.
