Kevin was born on December 5, 1964 in Knoxville to Mike and Juanita (Chamberlain) Ballalatak.

He was a man of the land, enjoying feeding wild game and mushroom hunting. He collected John Deere memorabilia, was a big history buff, and enjoyed reading. Kevin also enjoyed attending the Old Thrashers in Mount Pleasant, and would bring along family members to enjoy the activities.

He worked for Ben Shinn Trucking Company for a number of years.

Kevin passed away on September 21, 2009 on his way to the Monroe County Hospital Emergency Room in Albia.

He will be greatly missed by his siblings: Jerry (Sheryl) Ballalatak of Des Moines, Jane Ann Ballalatak of Lovilia, Dennis (Karen Hinote) Ballalatak of Albia, Jeanette Buckley of Bussey, Jim (Deb) Ballalatak of rural Albia, and Donna (Don) Zoutte of Knoxville. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive Kevin.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents.
