Jessica Courtney Miller was born November 30, 1992 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of David Miller and Cathy Miller.

She was currently a sophomore at Twin Cedars High School. Jessica enjoyed going to the library and reading books.

She always had a smile on her face and loved to give and receive hugs. Talking on the phone, texting and spending time with friends and family were also things she enjoyed. Jessica was baptized at Lake Miami on July 27, 2008.

Jessica passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009 at Mahaska County Hospital at the age of 16 years, 3 months and 9 days.

She was preceded in death by her father, David; uncle, Jimmy Miller; aunt, Connie Miller; grandpa, Loren Miller; great-grandparents, Florence and Bill Allen, Wilbur and Fern Miller.

She is survived by her mother, Cathy Miller (Mike Long); sister, Tiffany Miller; brother, Loren Miller all of Tracy; grandparents, Bette and James Miller of Oskaloosa, Barb and Jim Long of Tracy, Carolyn Miller of Mason City along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
