Ethyl Marie Fletcher Roberts was born December 21, 1915 in Marion County, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Leota (Maddy) Fletcher.

She was united in marriage to Leland Miller Roberts on Apri 15, 1934 and to this union two children were born, Charles Wayne and Dolories Marie.

Ethyl worked at Collins Hospital and also Knoxville Area Community Hospital over the years, but most of all she was a homemaker. She enjoyed her time outdoors, whether it be working in her flower garden or some other project she took on.
Ethyl loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and found them all to be such a joy in her life.

She was a member of the Columbia Methodist Church.

Ethyl passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 at Westridge Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 93 years and 19 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leland in 1993, daughter, Dolories Marie in 1994, granddaughter, Kathy Lynn in 1967, brother, Raymond Fletcher, and a sister, Hallie Woolsiy.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, C. Wayne (Linda) Roberts of Knoxville, son-in-law, B. Wayne (Diane) Roberts of Hardy, Arkansas; grandchildren, Mike and Nikki Roberts of Knoxville, Rhona (Mark) Pierson of Ankeny, Lisa Reeder of Marshalltown; great-grandchildren, Allison and Tyler Reeder, Justin & Stephanie Pierson, and Samantha Roberts.

Burial: Gosport Cemetery, Rural Marion Co.
