Justin Lee Bachman was born in Des Moines, Iowa on August 15, 1981. He was the son of Kathy Betts and Ronald Lincoln Bachman. Justin grew up in Des Moines where he attended school.

Justin was a musician at heart. He composed music that he would play on the guitar or organ. Justin played mostly “by ear.” He also enjoyed passing his time by drawing. Computers were fascinating to Justin. He repaired them as well as used them for enjoyment. When Justin lived in the country he raised a nice vegetable garden. Working outdoors provided him with real pleasure.

Justin Lee Bachman passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the age of 27 years, 5 months and 16 days.

Those family members who preceded him in death were his mother and maternal grandparents.

Those left to mourn his passing are his father, Ron Bachman of Terra Haute, IN; his sister, Jamie Betts of Des Moines; his paternal grandparents, Betty and Verlan DeZwarte of Chariton; 3 uncles, Ryal Bachman of Chariton, Rance Bachman of Knoxville and Dwight Bachman and his wife, Amanda of Chariton and three nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Williams Funeral Home with Pastor Suzanne Vogel officiating. Burial was in Gosport Cemetery, rural Marion County, Iowa. The musical selection was “In the Garden”, a CD by the Gospel Gold Singers.
