Manis Imogene (Jones) Still was born on July 3, 1926 in Knoxville, Iowa. She was the daughter of Bertie Rose and Elmer Roscoe Jones. Manis attended East Elementary School and graduated from Knoxville High School.

On November 6, 1955 Manis was united in marriage to Robert Chester Still. To this union one son was born.

For many years Manis was a telephone operator the Bellamy Telephone Company in Knoxville. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. For the last several years, Manis has been a resident of Griffin’s Nursing Center.

Manis passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Griffin’s Nursing Center at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 21 days.

Manis was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to mourn her passing are one son, Lyle David Still of Knoxville, long time care giver, Sharon Dennison of Knoxville as well as other friends.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville with Elder William McDonald officiating. Casket bearers were Jerald Heaberlin, Gene Knoot, Keith Lundy, Wendell Robinson and Dick Young.
