Pleasantville News: Mrs. Martha Thompson died at her home in this city Monday afternoon, at 4 o’clock, aged 69 years and 18 days.
Martha E. Perkins was born in New Jersey, August 22, 1831, and died September 10, 1900. She was first united in marriage to Samuel Peffer who died in 1863. Her second marriage was to Joseph Thompson. To the first union there were born three children and to the second four. Six still survive her, all of whom were present at the funeral, except the eldest son.
She had been a member of the Christian church for many years and was universally liked. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock.
