Pella Blade: A fearful tragedy took place Wednesday of last week in one of the large coal mines near Otley, by which Nicholas Brand lost his life, and the engineer of the mine, Levi Wouda, was dangerously hurt. Funeral services were held Thursday by Rev. Niemeyer of the Reformed church; the interment took place in the Oakland cemetery of this city. Deceased leaves a wife and four small children.
