OSKALOOSA -- Donald W. Mattix, 94, of Oskaloosa, passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 5, 2007, at Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Elizabeth Colton of the St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery in Jefferson Township, Mahaska County. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel; the family will be at the funeral chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. to greet visitors. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Congregational UCC or to the Coal Creek Cemetery Association.
