INDIANOLA, IA. – Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for John Thomas Roach of Indianola. Burial will be in the Indianola IOOF Cemetery. Mr. Roach, 89, died of a heart attack Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Born in Madison County, he lived in the Indianola area 43 years and retired as a livestock buyer. He was a veteran of the Army and Navy and a member of the Catholic Church and American Legion.

His wife, Alice Elizabeth, survives.

Friends may call after 6:30 p.m. today at Peterson Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus service will be at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
