Was Affiliated With Bankers Life
L. L. Cassidy, assistant treasurer of the Bankers Life4 Co., died Monday at his home, 1724 Seventh st. Mr. Cassidy had been associated with the Bankers Life Co., for 30 years, becoming assistant treasurer 12 years ago.
S. U. I. Graduate
Except for five years spent in New York, he had lived continuously in Des Moines since coming here in 1878 after graduating from the State University of Iowa.
He was born in Zanesville, Ohio, and came to Iowa when he was 9. He lived in Winterset until completing his course in the university.
Never Practiced Law
He had been graduated from the Des Moines College of Law and admitted to the bar but he never practiced.
Besides his widow he is survived by a son and a daughter. They are Hugh O. Cassidy of Tucson, Ariz. Mrs. White formerly lived in Humboldt, Ia.
Funeral arrangements are being made at Harbach’s funeral home.

Contrary to the time line of the obituary, the deceased was in the 1880 Madison County Census and had child born in the county in 1881.
