Susan Sorensen, 66, of Winterset, passed away December 18, 2023, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
Susan Lynn Howell was born December 10, 1957, the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Lipe) Howell. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1976 and lived in the Winterset area most of her life.
She worked in customer service for many years. Susan enjoyed many things in life, including cooking, going fishing, working in the garden, crocheting, and more. She handmade each of her children, grandchildren, and friends/family crocheted blankets. Her biggest love was her children and grandchildren. She was always putting them and others before herself.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia Howell; her son, Bradley Jordan; daughters, Josie (Jesse) Songer and Hannah (Wayne) Thompson; brothers, David (Mary) Howell and Steve (Elizabeth) Howell; sisters, Diane Wenger and Linda (Joe) Franc; 10 grandchildren, Drew Jordan, Dillon Jordan, Drake Jordan, Gage Booth, Carter Booth, Jaydon Songer, Barrett Songer, Owen Songer, Charlotte Thompson, and Georgia Thompson. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Robert Howell and brother-in-law, Lee Wenger.
