Allie, youngest daughter of W.H. and S.E. Blackwood died very suddenly of scarlet fever a week ago last Monday night.

BLACKWOOD—Died of scarlet fever, October 16th, 1882. Allie, daughter of Wm. H. and Sarah E. Blackwood, of Jackson township,
aged 14 months.

Another little one has been called away from time to eternity, by that terrible disease, scarlet fever. The blow falls with a stunning effect upon the fond parents, brothers and sister, especially because of its suddenness. On the funeral day, as she lay in snow stillness in her coffin, the beautiful features betrayed no sign of disease, yet the death angel had done its work, and the spirit had gone to God, who gave it.
