JOHN REIGER

The body of John Reiger, who lived near Pitzer, was brought to Winterset Wednesday morning and sent to Ottawa, Illinois, where he formerly lived. Reiger came from Kansas about four years ago and has been sick for a long time with a complication of heart and stomach trouble. He was about fifty years old.

John A. Reiger died at his home in this township on Monday evening. Services were held at the home at four o’clock Tuesday evening and on Wednesday morning the remains were taken to their former home in Illinois for burial. Mr. Reiger came here about four years ago. He was an excellent citizen, a kind and obliging neighbor, whose death will be a distinct loss to the citizenship of the community. The bereaved family are accorded the sympathy of friends and neighbors.
