Derwood L. Getting, age 87 of Sibley, Iowa, and formerly of Matlock, Iowa, died from complications of Parkinson’s disease on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Country View Manor in Sibley, Iowa.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 25, 2014 at Lyon County First Presbyterian Church of George, Iowa, with Rev. Paul Fischer officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in George.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Lyon County First Presbyterian Church.
