Dal Copeland was taken to Keokuk Friday for an operation, hoping that it would assist his recovery, but the hope was vain, for he died Sunday night at that place. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. M. McFadden, in the U. P. church, assisted by Rev. Mr. Alexander and Drs. Buriff and Trumbull, and was very largely attended in spite of the stormy weather. Mr. Copeland was 25 years, 6 months and 13 days old, and was to be married shortly. He was an exemplary young man, and highly respected by all who knew him.
