Sunday afternoon J. D. Guinn was tenderly laid away in his last earthly resting place. The rainy, stormy day was in striking contrast to the peaceful day he has just begun On account of the severe storm, scores of his friends were unable to attend his funeral services, at Trinity church at 2 o'clock. He was buried in the Columbus City cemetery.

All the remaining members of his family were present. These were his wife, Mrs. Mary Gibbs of Hebron, Ind.; Robert and Thomas Guinn of Humiston, this state, who returned home Monday; J. C. Guinn of Laurel, Neb., who went home last night, and J. D. and John Guinn of Ainsworth; Mes. Guinn will make her home with her daughter and they expect to start for Hebron the middle of next year.
