At 8:30 o'clock this morning John D. Guinn responded to the call that awaits us all, and peacefully passed to the great beyond. He has nor been well for two years or more, and during that time he has been gradually growing weaker, and for the past few weeks his near relatives and friends had learned the end of his earthly life was near. The immediate cause of his death was a complication of lung, kidney and stomach troubles. Mr. Guinn was born in Virginia on March 18, 1824. At an early age he moved to Tennessee, in which state on April 1, 1847, he was married to Miss Eliza Duncan, who with five sons and one daughter, survive him. In October, 1851, he moved to a farm near Columbus City, a year later to Oakland township, and 13 years later to ?county ..... Uncle John Guinn was an honest man- honest with himself, honest with his God. By his true living he won for himself the respect and joys of those who knew him that can come only to the upright character. ---- Mr. Guinn has been for years an earnest member of the Reformed church, and this organization , in common with our entire community, feel the loss that has come to us. Funeral services will be from the Trinity Reformed church at 2 o'clock next Sunday afternoon. The remains will be laid to res in the Columbus City cemetery.
