Harley A. House was born in Louisa county, Iowa, August 10, 1860, and died at his home in Washington county, Iowa, March 9, 1899. He was married to Miss Jennie McCaw of Wapello county, November 2, 1886. To this union were born six children, who with the wife, three brothers and four sisters mourn his departure. The funeral was held from Bethel church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Mullen of Columbus City. The internment was at Bethel cemetery.
