Columbus City, January 25 - Today at 11 o'clock occurred the funeral of Mr. John Baird who severed all his earthly ties Monday last. He was born in Ohio, December 9, 1825, and moved in 1857 to the vicinity of Columbus City, where he resided until his death at which time he was aged 73 years, one month and fourteen days. His death, from heart disease, was a very peaceful one, and he has gone to the better kingdom above, there to await the coming of his now sorrowing relatives. He leaves our daughter and a brother, we believe.
