Grandview, November 15- Mrs. Dr. D. J. Higley passed to her eternal rest quietly and as peacefully as though she had sunk to sleep. Mrs. Highley died at her home in this place on Monday night November 7 after about two years suffering from cancer of the stomach. Her life was ebbing slowly but surely away, the light of life flickering as a lamp and at 10 in the evening her soul winged its flight to its eternal home. During her stay with us she was an exemplary and honored christian and member of the Congregational church. her death is a great loss to the church and to the social circle in which she moved. The funeral was held from the family residence, Rev. Fath of Muscatine officiating.
