Lone Tree, October 17- Sherman William McGill met his death suddenly while driving to Muscatine last Thursday. He arose that morning seemingly bright and well and singing as he started away on his long journey. But we know not what a day bringeth forth. This young man was seen sitting on his wagon driving along by a man working in a field near the roadside, but the next glance, about two minutes later, the man saw him lying on the ground by the wagon perfectly lifeless. The death of this intelligent young man was a very heavy stroke to his aged parents. Funeral services were held at the home of his father, Wm. McGill of this vicinity by Rev. Hamil of Grandview. Age of subject: 32 years and 20 days. The earthly remains were laid away in the Grandview cemetery.
