My grandmother was adopted from the Home of Friendless.
She was placed in the home on Oct 7, 1908. She was only there 3 days before being adopted on Oct 10, 1908 by John Barnhardt and Orpha Rutan Barnhardt.

I've tried every avenue to get information regarding her adoption from the Home the of Friendless. I've been told the files burned, were flooded or they just can't give them to me.

Do you happen to know what happened to all the adoption records after Coe College took it over and demolished it.
