Death of Judge Stoneman
Judge John T. Stoneman, first judge of the superior court in this city and a pioneer resident, died at the home of his son-in-law, A. T. Chapin of McGregor, Iowa, Oct 11. He had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Stoneman passed away on Nov. 12, 1902 at the Chain home. Judge Stoneman is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Chapin and Mrs. J. H. Long of Chicago.
