Rudolph H. Harris passed away at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 11, at his home 321 Tenth st.
He was born June 26, 1881 at Robins the son of William H. and Mary Ann Howard Harris. He attended the Marion schools and was married at Marion on May 2, 1906 to Miss Arminta S. Jayne. They went to North Dakota two years later to make their home later moving to Minnesota. They returned to Marion in 1931 where he has made his home since that time. Mrs. Harris passed away at Marion on March 6, 1950. Mr. Harris was employed at the Handy Sack Bailer Company and at the Marion post office for many years. He was a member of Osceola Lodge No. 18, I.O.O.F.
Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. LeRoy S. (Madge) Smith, Arcadia, California and Mrs. George (Irene) Moore, Duarte, California; three grandchildren: LeRoy and Helen Smith and Dianne Moore and a sister, Mrs. Laura Ives, Cedar Rapids. Two daughters, Frances and Lillian, two brothers, Glenn and Frank Harris and a sister, Mrs. Mabel McCulley preceded him in death.
Memorial services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Edward T. Gough and Osceola Lodge No. 18, I.O.O.F. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery. .Pallbearers were Norman Adee, Ernest Badham, Ray McCulley, Miles Hess, Clarence DeWees and Robert Wright.
