Freda Marie Williams, 71, of Cedar Rapids Iowa passed away peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories State Room. There will be a private family service with burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must be practiced which requires a limited number of people allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of facemasks or shields is required.

Freda was born June 1, 1949 in Fort Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Frederick and Dorothy (Wilkinson) Nordgren. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1967. Freda married Terry Williams November 13, 1970 in Cedar Rapids, they later divorced. She worked for the Cedar Rapids Recreation Commission and later worked for Transamerica where she retired in 2015.

She enjoyed vacationing to Minnesota and Canada for fishing trips, which usually ended with a good sunburn. She had a lifetime passion for cats. She was known for her Christmas sugar cookies and loved to bake. Freda was also an avid baseball fan and liked to watch Hawkeye sports. Most importantly she loved the time she spent with her family.

Freda is survived by her son Trevin Allen Williams; brother Gordy (Linda) Nordgren; nephew Nickolas (Kimberly) Nordgren; great-niece Skylar Nordgren; step niece Jill (Scott) Radeke; step great nieces Kaylee Radeke and Camryn Kellner; step great nephew Landon Paolucci.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
