Wilbert and Harry Johnson, died 1909

Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson, living east of Martinsburg, were called to mourn the death of two sons last week, Harry Leonard, their youngest son, dying Monday morning at 1:15, and Wilbert Dietrich, their fifth son, expiring on Thursday morning at 9:15, both being victims of scarlet fever. The funeral of Harry Leonard was held Monday, and the funeral of Wilbert Dietrich on Thursday afternoon, both conducted by Rev. F. W. Landdeck, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, and the interments were in the Lutheran cemetery, southeast of Hedrick.

Harry Leonard Johnson was born September 22, 1907, near Martinsburg, and was aged at the time of his death one year, ten months and three days. He was baptized shortly after his birth in the Lutheran church at Hedrick. He was ill 11 days.

Wilbert Deitrich Johnson was born May 24, 1904, near Martinsburg, and was aged five years, two months and seven days. He was also baptized in the Lutheran church at Hedrick.

Besides the sorrowing parents, they leave four brothers, Edward, Adolph, Franz and Paul, one sister, Esther, their grandmother, Mrs. Johnson, and their aunt, Marie Johnson, to mourn their early death. The parents have the sincere sympathy of all in their double bereavement.
